Is there a WRONG way?

Is it just me, or whenever your on a road trip and you see a "No turn" sign, THAT way seems to be the best way?
I compare that to your desired campaign. Everyone always wants you to do things a certain way because it was done before and it worked. Well, that is great for them, but now you need to find a different way. I dont care if the legends of the business were so successful because they did their marketing or advertising THIS way. Maybe the other way would work just as good. There are so many circumstances that will play for and against you. You really just have to pick up your idea, throw it in the air and see where it lands. It will not be easy to convince a client that a brand new idea that has never been tried before will work if you do not have the stats, but if the client is willing to try then you know something will happen.
All of those people out there who are creative blockers because their mind is still with this amazingly successful campaign they did in a certain way so they want all the business that comes out of their company to be just like that. I would say, well your going to get "Type casted" and then businesses will know what your all about and they wont be as curious to let you work for them. Mix it up, show that you can do anything for anyone.
There is more than one way to catch a fish, design a car, get to a destination and there is more than one way to reach your audience. Pick your way, and take it. Who cares about the no turn signs, or the dead end signs, just go. If you like it, you can sell it.
